  3.    Thank you download SystemMate 97.  Now you have the power of Windows
  4. 95 at your fingertips.  This readme file will give you a short overview
  5. of SystemMate 97 and where to find help and other information for this
  6. product.

  8.    Before you begin, you must have the VB5 Runtime File installed on 
  9. your system. This file is:

  13.    If you don't have these files on your system, you can download them

  20. I.  Introduction
  21.  
  22.    SystemMate 97 was designed to give Windows 95 users quicker access to
  23. the features of Win95 and their programs.  We've crammed all this power
  24. into one small icon in your Taskbar Tray.  Now you can get what and
  25. wherever you want in less than one or two mouse clicks.

  28. II.  Features
  29.  
  30.    SystemMate 97 was designed with many different handy features, like
  31. QuickStart, which allows you designate quick access to one of the main
  32. features (such as Explorer, Control Panel, DOS Prompt, Shut Down, etc.)
  33. with just one double-click of the SystemMate 97 icon.
  34.    The SystemMate 97 popup menu is the main interface of the program.
  35. Here, you can find access to 5 of you favorite programs (which you can
  36. designate in the Options menu), the Shut Down features, and the three
  37. main system programs (Windows Explorer, Control Panel, and DOS Prompt).
  38. At any time you can choose to hide one or all of these popup menu 
  39. entries through the Options Menu.

  42. III.  Customization
  43.  
  44.    One thing that we have learned is that many computer users are
  45. different in the features and programs that they use on a regular basis.
  46. That's why we have made just about all of the features in the popup menu
  47. customizable. You can choose to hide any or all of the 5 favorite program
  48. slots, or you can hide all of the 3 main system programs. In the next 
  49. version, we hope to make it where you can hide any or all of the Shut 
  50. Down entries.

  53. IV.  Interface

  55.    We wanted to make SystemMate one of the handies programs that you 
  56. have ever used with Windows 95. That's why we have laid out the popup
  57. menu in any easy-to use order.  We've placed the main system programs
  58. at the top, then we have the Shut Down features, and finally there are
  59. the favorit program slots. You can customize these features in the 
  60. Options menu. In the future, we hope to be able to add shortcut keys for
  61. the keyboard to give you even quicker access to the features in the popup
  62. menu.

  67.    We have designed this readme file as an overview of SystemMate 97 and
  68. its features. But we know that this may not answer all of the questions
  69. that you have about SystemMate 97.  we hope that with the release of the
  70. next version that we will have a Help file to help you with your System-
  71. Mate 97 questions.
